How can I use the settings in my projects?

To configure the settings that best suit your needs and resources:

Tile width: This will be the width of the printed panel. To save media you will want to adjust it to a size which nearly covers the width of the paper.

Edge to Edge or Overlap: Setting the configuration as Edge-to-Edge, the printed panels will need to be positioned on the wall one edge touching the edge of the other panel, which saves media, but increases the possibility of mistakes during installation. On the contrary, by setting the overlap feature and the amount of overlap, each printed panel will include part of the next panel, so that during installation one panel goes on top of the previous one. With this, the transition from each panel is perfect.

Trim lines: This will include trim lines that will help during the installation and to remove excess of media.

First tile position: This setting is related to the "Overlap" feature. It indicates which panel needs to be positioned first, the central one, or one in the edge. Once the first panel has been placed the following panels are installed on top of the previous one. Panels that are intended to be covered on the edge by another one, include alignment marks to help position the new panel on top (covering this alignment marks). If the positioning of the panels is reversed, then these alignment marks will be visible on the finalized installation.

Media needs image reduction by 1%: This setting applies to HP PVC-free wall paper and similar medias, because they need to be wet in order to place them on the wall. Once the water dries, the substrate properties are modified and the image size is shrunk approximately 1% of the original size. This setting prevents this by enlarging slightly the picture.

How do I include HP WallArt on my website?

The “Allow incoming jobs from external link” option on SETTINGS provides you a link to access directly to the HP Wall Art Solution. Through this link, anyone can design a project that will be stored on your account. In this way, you don’t have to provide your account’s credentials to anyone.

What is the measurement accuracy in HP Wall Coverings?

The Wall Art Solution design tool has an accuracy of up to ¼ of an inch. Moreover, Wall Coverings are delivered with some additional space to account for wall imperfections. However, it is best to allow some buffer in your design to further account for variables such as wall irregularities. A buffer will provide leeway when positioning your design.

Additionally, we recommend that you place critical elements of your design away from obstructions or wall edges.

Do I have to have measurements to design a Wall Covering?

You can begin designing your Wall Covering with approximate measurements. However, it is very important to apply the correct measurements to your project before you check-out and purchase your design.
